READING:

A British man has a new bionic eye. He is the first person in the world to get one. He has an eye problem called AMD. Doctors told him about it eight years ago. His sight became very bad. He could only see out of the corners of his eyes. He said that looking at things made his eyes tired.

Mr Flynn's bionic eye cost $125,000. His operation lasted four hours. Doctors said it was a success. Flynn can now read a newspaper and can look at flowers. His doctor said he can also see people very well. The doctor hopes scientists can help other people who cannot see.
