READING:

The technology company Apple and the FBI are having a fight. The FBI wants Apple to unlock the phone of a terrorist. The man killed 14 people in California in December. The phone has information to catch more terrorists. Apple said it would not open the iPhone because it would be a security risk.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is also angry with Apple. It said Apple is using technology to stop the FBI from finding out more about the killer. Apple said the DOJ wanted to give Apple a bad name. It said: "It seems like disagreeing with the Department of Justice means you must be evil and anti-American."
