Ex-U.S. President George H.W. Bush shaved his head for a 2-year-old boy. The boy, Patrick, is the son of Mr Bush's bodyguard. He has leukemia – a blood disease. Treatment for it makes people's hair fall out. Bush wanted to help Patrick. Bush, 89, now looks like Patrick. Someone said: "It's hard to tell them apart." Bush also helped with Patrick's hospital bills. People can give money on a website started by Mr Bush's other bodyguards. They also shaved their head.

Mr Bush's daughter Robin died from leukemia 60 years ago. She was four years old. He worked hard for years after to get money for leukemia research. In 2004, the Robin Bush Clinic opened at a hospital in Texas. Leukemia is a kind of blood cancer. Anyone can get it. It once killed many people, but today there is treatment at hospital. It's easier to cure children than adults. In 2000, around 256,000 people worldwide got leukemia, and 209,000 died from it.
