Paralyzed man walks using robotic suit
A man paralyzed below the shoulders could not walk. He wore a robot suit and that helped him to walk. Doctors put the robot suit on him. It covered his arms and legs. He controlled it by using sensors near his brain. His thoughts were able to move the machine. The machine moved his arms and legs so he could walk. Doctors say this technology will help disabled people. The brain will control wearable technology. A doctor said the robot suit is the first brain-controlled system that can move arms and legs. The man was very happy with the test. He said: "I can't go home tomorrow in my exoskeleton, but I've got to a point where I can walk." |
