Greta Thunberg 'not officially' invited to COP26
Presidents and prime ministers from 200 nations have arrived in the city of Glasgow in Scotland for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference – COP26. One notable person is missing. Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has been omitted from the invitation list. Ms Thunberg, 18, is unsure as to whether she will be allowed to attend any of the meetings. Speaking to the BBC, she said: "It's very unclear. Not officially [invited]." She added: "I think that many people might be scared that if they invite too many radical young people, then that might make them look bad." |
