South Korea pays lonely people to leave the house
Many people stay at home and do not want to go out. They shut themselves off from the world and do not want to meet other people. They are recluses. South Korea has an idea for these people to "re-enter society". It will pay people $500 a month to leave their home. The payment will be for poor and lonely people aged nine to 24. South Korea's government said it wanted to help younger people. It said it wants young people to go out. The government will support people's mental and emotional stability, and their health. |
