Multinational companies to hire 250,000 refugees
Refugees are increasing around the world. People are fleeing wars; others feel unsafe in their homeland. They all want a new life in a safe country. Multinational companies will give jobs to 250,000 refugees. Companies like Adidas, Amazon, Pepsi and Starbucks made this offer on World Refugee Day. More than 40 corporations will help refugees in the next three years. Kelly Clements, the U.N. Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees, was happy about this news. She said the promises that businesses are making "are absolutely essential". |
