The Japanese car manufacturer Nissan has been to supply the vehicles for the new taxi of New York City. The city’s mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced that Nissan's NV200 of minivan had won his competition for the "Taxi of Tomorrow". The contract is for a of ten years and starts in 2014. Nissan will about 13,000 of the new yellow taxi cabs, which are to be as iconic as all previous models.
