Egypt's Olympians are after it was discovered they have been fake equipment to use at the London Olympic Games. Yomna Khallaf, one of the team’s synchronised swimmers, highlighted the in a series of tweets this week. The Egyptian Olympic Committee’s secretary general, Motaz Sonbol, said he was to find out that the equipment was not " from Nike". However, the committee's chairman, general Mahmoud Ahmed Ali, defended the of the "counterfeit" gear because of his country's economic conditions.
