Europe has a refugee problem. Europeans are shocked because over 250 Africans died near Italy. Their boat sank near the beach. There are many accidents. European leaders always ask for change, but nothing happens. Maybe there will be change now. One idea is more rescue boats. They can work in the area between Spain and Cyprus.
This problem is difficult. Europeans want stronger borders. They do not want many, many people coming in. Italy is in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It saves thousands of lives every year. Italy wants more help from Europe. An Italian said the Mediterranean is the Africa-Europe border, not the Africa-Italy border.
