Scientists recently found coldest place on Earth. Satellites measured temperature of minus 93.2 degrees Celsius on part of Antarctica. Unfortunately, record freezing temperatures measured by satellites won't be in Guinness Book of Records. temperatures must be from couple of meters above ice. The scientists also have to use thermometer. The satellites' temperatures were few centimetres above ice and they did not use thermometer. Dr Scambos said he is sure that temperatures recorded by satellites are accurate. He also said that they would be too cold for thermometer to work properly. He said it was so cold that you cannot breathe air. When scientists go outside, they must wear snorkel that goes inside their coat. They breathe warmer air that is close to their skin.
