The Reading / Listening - Level 4

A dream came true for a woman who wanted a fairy tale wedding. Amanda Gibbs, from England, married her fiancé of eight years on Saturday in a fairy-tale ceremony. The happy couple painted themselves green to look like Shrek and Princess Fiona. They wore the same clothes as the cartoon characters. Guests also dressed as animation characters. The couple wanted to remember their special day. They tied the knot in an unforgettable way.

The wedding also had a serious side. They raised money for a cancer charity. Guests donated to the charity instead of buying wedding presents. They had both lost friends to cancer. The groom said: "We hope to inspire others to give money to the charity when they read our story." He added: "We've had a great day today and it's fantastic to think the money raised will…support those with cancer and their families."
