Alternative medicine is popular in Bahrain. Many people are trying hypnotherapy and reiki. They want to change their feelings, stop smoking or have more energy. Alternative medicine makes the body better without medicine. There aren't many scientific reports on it. There aren't many university courses on it in western countries.

Alternative medicine clinics opened in Bahrain in 2012. More people want to start a clinic. Bahrain's health service needs to see qualifications. It wants clinics to have a business plan. Many Bahrainis do not understand alternative medicine. They think it is like magic. They do not trust it.
