Alternative medicine is becoming more [popularity / popular] in Bahrain. More and more people are trying [things / thing] like hypnotherapy and reiki. Hypnotherapy is when a hypnotherapist [trying / tries] to change the feelings and behavior of people. Many people use it to [stopped / stop] smoking. Reiki changes the [energy / energetic] lines in your body to make you better. People are also [become / becoming] interested in other kinds of alternative medicine, [for / as] example, homeopathy and acupuncture. Wikipedia.com says alternative medicine is any treatment that [seals / heals] the body without medicine. Wikipedia says there is [few / little] scientific research on it. There are very [few / little] medical universities in western countries where you can study alternative medicine.

Bahrain [allowed / allows] alternative medicine in 2012 and is being very [careful / careless] . It only gave licences to seven therapy [clinic / clinics] in 2013. Dr Baha Fateha from Bahrain's [healthy / health] department said more people wanted to open their [own / down] clinics. He told Gulf News: "Alternative therapy is [in / on] the increase in Bahrain and we have new [applications / application] all the time." He also said the country wanted to make sure new clinics were safe. He said: "First, we need to [see / watch] evidence that they have the professional qualifications to do their job and that they have a business [plant / plan] ." A hypnotherapist in Bahrain said many people did not understand alternative medicine. She said people, "still see it as a form of magic or something that can't be [trust / trusted] ".
