The museum director was happy that many people came. He said many things happened last year. The Internet helped people to visit. He said it was a great museum.

The British Museum has about 13 million things. They show human history and culture from all over the world. Some countries want their things back. The British took them hundreds of years ago. The museum first opened in 1759. About 75 people a day visited. There were 71,000 things. There were old books and dead animals.
