The Reading / Listening - Level 0

England's soccer coach said his players must sing their national anthem at the World Cup. It starts on June 12th. The first game is Brazil against Croatia. The coach wants people to see the pride his players have. He wants them to sing "loud and proud". He told reporters: "We are proud to be England players."

In the past, England players forgot to sing their anthem. The coach said: "Perhaps we need to remind them." He was worried that players did not know all the words. Many people do not know the second verse. Hodgson wants his players to have the same passion as other teams. Other teams play with their hands on their hearts.
