Beef farming hurts the environment. It is ten times more harmful than farming other meat. Cows need 28 times more land and 11 times more water than sheep. They also need 160 times more land than potatoes and rice. Scientists said animal farming causes global warming. Fifteen per cent of greenhouse gas is from farming.

Eating less beef will make our carbon footprint smaller. It is better for the environment than driving less. Cows eat a lot of wheat. We can give the wheat that cows eat to help hungry people. Everyone should think about this carefully. A professor said that eating less beef is very good for the environment.
