Baby orangutans around at by for from in into of on to up Indonesia are going to school to learn skills like finding food and making a nest. The school hopes the skills the young apes learn will mean they can be reintroduced around at by for from in into of on to up the wild and survive around at by for from in into of on to up their own. The school was set around at by for from in into of on to up by International Animal Rescue (IAR). There are currently 102 orangutans living around at by for from in into of on to up the centre. A spokesperson said: "We are committed to rescuing and rehabilitating as many orangutans as we can and giving them a second chance to live safely around at by for from in into of on to up their natural environment." Not all around at by for from in into of on to up them attend the school because some have suffered long-term injuries so they can never go back around at by for from in into of on to up the forest. It could take around at by for from in into of on to up to eight years to get others ready to return around at by for from in into of on to up the wild. The IAR centre cares around at by for from in into of on to up animals that have been rescued around at by for from in into of on to up the wild. Some around at by for from in into of on to up the baby orangutans lost their parents because of illegal poaching, habitat loss and forest fires. The IAR said they "are suffering and dying because around at by for from in into of on to up the systematic destruction around at by for from in into of on to up the rainforest, primarily around at by for from in into of on to up palm oil production". Other baby orangutans have been stolen around at by for from in into of on to up their mothers to be sold as pets. There are also adult orangutans around at by for from in into of on to up the centre. These have spent most around at by for from in into of on to up their lives in captivity. The World Wildlife Fund estimates there are around at by for from in into of on to up 45,000 to 69,000 orangutans around at by for from in into of on to up Borneo, but their numbers are decreasing because their forests are being destroyed around at by for from in into of on to up illegal logging and palm oil companies.
