In 1980, Mugabe won Zimbabwe's elections and became leader. A 34-year-old Zimbabwean man said: "I've been waiting all my life for this day….We are free at last."

Many people are now happy his time as leader is coming to an end. One street protestor, Frank Mutsindikwa, 34, said: "I've been waiting all my life for this day. Free at last. We are free at last."
