READING:

There is a three-month emergency in Turkey after two deadly earthquakes. They are two of the biggest quakes ever in Turkey. Many people in Turkey and Syria have died. Many buildings are damaged. Turkey's president warned of many aftershocks. Search and rescue teams are trying to reach the disaster areas.

The world is helping Turkey and Syria. The EU sent rescue workers. Emergency teams are giving health care to injured people. Mexico sent a team of dogs who are experts in finding survivors. The U.S. president was "deeply saddened". He promised to give "any help that is needed". Syria has already suffered for years from war.
