Esports World Cup ended on Sunday. eight-week-long competition was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Thirty teams from across globe competed in 22 games. The winner of tournament was Team Falcons. They won $7 million for finishing top of table. The total prize money on offer at World Cup was $60 million. On Tuesday, Team Falcons faced off against Team Neymar Jr, led by Brazilian soccer star. They played Counter-Strike 2, Rocket League, and TEKKEN 8. Neymar's side beat Team Falcons 2-1. Team Falcons won two of major games and were runners-up in two. They came top in Call of Duty: Warzone and in Free Fire.
Esports have been increasing in popularity over past decade. They competitive video games that require great skill, quick reactions and extreme focus and concentration. Gamers take part in variety of games. These include MOBAs (multiplayer online battle arena) like League of Legends, and first-person shooter games like Fortnite.
