People from 74 countries can now visit China without a visa. They can stay for 30 days. Citizens from 54 countries can stay in-transit for 10 days. China wants more tourists. It started allowing more visitors in 2023. It has added almost every European country and countries from South America, Asia, and the Middle East.

There are many more Chinese tourists in China than international tourists. However, more overseas travellers are going to China. Tour companies need more guides. An English-speaking tour guide has started a new business to train new tour guides. A luxury tour company said the new visa policy was good for business.
