Tom Cruise was very happy to get Oscar. In his acceptance speech, he said he felt very lucky to be part of movies and cinema. He said: "Making films is not what I do, it is who I am." He added: "My love for cinema began at very early age — as early as I can remember. I was just little kid in darkened theatre, and I remember that beam of light just cut across room... Suddenly, world was so much larger than the one that I knew." He said: "Cinema takes me around world. No matter where we come from, in [movie] theatre, we laugh together, we feel together, we hope together. And that is power of this art form."
