READING:

Prince Harry is not allowed to stay at Buckingham Palace while he is in the U.K. this week. This is because Harry missed a deadline to tell the palace of his plans. Harry was going to visit the U.K. with his wife Meghan and their two children. However, the prince decided not to bring his family because the U.K. would not pay for police protection for them. News reports say Harry decided not to stay at the palace if his family could not visit with him. He then changed his mind. He said he would stay alone. The palace said his change of plan was too late.

Newspapers are full of stories about the relationship between Harry and his family. Relations have not been good since 2020. That is when Harry stopped working as a royal. He left the U.K. and moved to California. He wanted to protect his family from the press. In 2022, Harry and Meghan released a Netflix documentary. This criticized the royal family and the media. It led to bad blood between Harry and his family. His book "Spare" was published in 2023. This made relations with his brother Prince William worse. King Charles is sad because he can't see his grandchildren.
