The Reading / Listening - Level 0

European leaders rapped to win votes. They want young people to listen to their raps and vote for them. Many young people don't like to vote. Ten years ago, 87% of young people voted, but last time, just 65% voted. Younger politicians made a group called EU40. They joined the "Battle For Your Vote" freestyle hip-hop contest.

In the battle, politicians had the mic for a minute to get some support. One party told young people: "If you like money, vote for [us]". There were raps on many topics, including unemployment. Each rapper gave their answers to these problems. They used short, rhyming sentences. They did not make long speeches.
