The Reading / Listening - Level 1

The STA Travel company is ending tours to many of the world's animal attractions. STA sells holidays, flights and accommodation. It will no longer organize tours to places where animals are not free. It will stop tours to SeaWorld in the USA. The company will only go to places that are good to animals. Many customers complained about some tours. STA said: "We take this seriously and listen carefully to feedback from animal welfare experts."

SeaWorld was disappointed with STA's decision. It said it has high standards of animal care. It said animal rights groups made STA take this decision. A spokesperson said: "There is no higher priority for SeaWorld than the…welfare of our animals." STA said: "It is really important we…understand what the issues are and work with organisations that really understand those issues." An animal rights group said all dolphins suffer at theme parks.
