A U.K. supermarket will remove all candy and chocolates from its checkouts by the end of this year. It wants customers to be healthier. About 66% of customers thought this was a good idea. The store's CEO said: "We all know how easy it is to be tempted by sugary snacks at the checkout."

The U.K. government liked Tesco's idea. It will help people to be a little healthier and to lose weight. The website MumsNet.com said it was "positive" and would make life "easier". The site told the BBC that shopping with children was difficult because they always wanted candy." It was happy that a big store listened to customers.
