READING:

The U.S. President had an embarrassing credit card moment. He was in an expensive New York restaurant. The cashier said no to his credit card. The President said: "I guess, I don't use it enough." The cashier thought his card was strange. He did not have enough money to pay the bill. His wife used her credit card.

The President made a new law. It will protect credit-card users. It will help stop identity theft. This is a big problem. Hackers stole the private information of 100 million Americans. The new law means credit cards will not use magnetic strips. Hackers can read these. New credit cards will use microchips and PIN numbers.
