The Reading / Listening - Digital Nomads - Level 1

Caribbean islands are famous for luxury, not for work. However the nation of Antigua and Barbuda wants people to work there for two years. It is offering a two-year work visa for "digital nomads" - people who can work anywhere on their computer. The new "Nomad Digital Residence Programme" is available for anyone who has an income of at least $50,000 per year. They must also be able to look after any family members for two years.

Other countries like Barbados and Estonia have set up similar programmes recently. They want to give people the chance to experience a different way of life. Antigua and Barbuda has many attractions, like high-speed Internet. This means you can work anywhere in the world from Antigua as if you were at home. The country has great accommodation, amazing restaurants, beaches, historic sites, beautiful scenery and deep sea diving.
