Leaders from 200 nations are in the city of Glasgow, Scotland for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference – COP26. Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, 18, has been omitted from the invitation list. She is not sure if she can attend any of the meetings. Speaking to the BBC, she said: "I think that many people might be scared that if they invite too many radical young people, then that might make them look bad."
U.S. President Joe Biden is at the event. He was in Rome on Friday meeting the Pope. Climate activists criticised his 95-car motorcade just two days ahead of a climate conference. Ms Thunberg criticised the conference for its lack of delegates from developing countries. The UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson is hosting the conference. He said: "COP26 must mark the beginning of the end of climate change." He added: "Too many countries are still doing too little."
