UK king co-writes children's book on climate change

The UK's King Charles has written a children's book. It is called "Climate Change". Charles is an environmentalist. He speaks about the environment a lot. He hopes his book will teach children about nature. The other writer of the book wants to give children facts. He said children must find answers to climate change for their future.

Last Friday, Charles asked business leaders to help protect nature. He said he was excited because children want to help the Earth. Charles loves "the level of energy and passion [for nature] shown by young people". Charles wrote: "Ever since I was a young teenager, I have been deeply worried about…our world."

I am pleased to see that children across the world are now raising the alarm and calling for big changes."

He is chairperson of an organization called Natural England. He told reporters that he wanted to write a book for 7–11-year-olds. He said he wants "to bring the facts to the fingertips of the people who have got most to gain by finding [climate change] solutions in time."

Last Friday, Mr Juniper went to an event at Buckingham Palace in London. Charles hosted the event. He invited many business leaders. He asked them to help protect biodiversity. At the palace get-together, Juniper spoke about how excited Charles is that children want to help Earth. He said: "I think he's been struck by the level of energy and passion shown by young people on these subjects. He is keen to put something into their hands which is about basic ideas." King Charles wrote: "Ever since I was a young teenager, I have been deeply worried about the way we have shaped our world. I am pleased to see that children across the world are now raising the alarm and calling for big changes."
