Ferrari has unveiled its first ever fully electric car. luxury sports car maker showed the car to world on Monday. It is called Luce, which means "light" in Italian. new car is also the first five-seater vehicle produced by Ferrari. It is not cheap. Anyone wanting to buy one must have deep pockets, as it costs $640,000. The Ferrari website highlighted why people might want to buy car. It wrote: "The Ferrari Luce... lies at heart of ecosystem of collaborations with outstanding technology partners. We have created car that combines unique driving emotions with extraordinary performance, driving pleasure, and comfort for [Ferrari drivers] of today and tomorrow."
Luce was developed and co-designed by former Apple chief designer Jony Ive. He was responsible for designs of the iMac computer, iPhone, iPad and the Apple Watch. Many reviewers have said the Luce looks like "Apple car". The Verge website wrote: "Luce looks almost nothing like Ferrari. In fact, it looks more like something Apple would make." However, car does have Ferrari's power and speed. It can go from 0-100 kph in 2.5 seconds and has top speed of over 310 kph. The car has four electric motors — one for each wheel. It also has range of over 500 kilometres between charges. A Ferrari marketing officer said Luce was "absolutely stunning".
