BreakingNewsEnglish.com says news is good for students. It asked students about using news to learn English. They thought it was important. A student liked news because it is real. He is surprised when a lesson is about that day's news. Another student liked news better than other topics. She feels good when she understands it.

Teachers liked using news too. They make listening slower to help students. They said it helps students speak, especially news about the students' country. Students have background knowledge about news from their own language. Teachers like doing role plays and games. One teacher said news was "unhealthy for students".
