A vinyl record is what music was on before CDs and MP3s. Vinyl records are coming back. A special day called Record Store Day is helping records become more popular. This year it was on April 19. Record sales doubled last year. Sales are up again this year. Sales are nearly the same as they were 20 years ago.

Record Store Day started in 2007. Music fans celebrate the record. The day helps shops sell more records. This year was the best ever. Sales went up by 133 per cent. More young people are buying records. They are an important part of music history and culture. The digital revolution and MP3s arrived, but records are still popular.
