The deadly Ebola virus is getting worse in Africa. More people are getting it. So far, 763 people got the virus, and 468 of these died. The United Nations said it is the biggest and deadliest Ebola outbreak ever. Most of the deaths were in Guinea. This is where the outbreak started. People have also died in neighbouring countries. African health ministers are getting more worried about the outbreak. Ministers from 11 countries are meeting in the capital city of Ghana. They will talk about how they can control the situation. They want to stop more people from dying.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said action was needed to stop the virus from spreading. A spokesman said the WHO wanted all countries to work together. It said if everyone helps, "we can get a grip and halt this outbreak". This is important because trade between African countries can spread the virus easily. The WHO said "a strong response" was important, especially in border areas where there are commercial and social activities. It is unlikely this trading will stop. Ebola kills up to 90 per cent of people who get infected. There is no vaccine or cure for it.
