READING:

Millions of shoppers went shopping on Black Friday. Stores gave discounts of 70 per cent. It is a big shopping day in the USA and Britain. British police went to four supermarkets. They were worried that people would be crushed. Police made sure sale-goers could get in and out of the stores safely.

Workers in the USA were angry because Black Friday started a day early. It started on the US celebration of Thanksgiving. This is usually a family day. Many big stores did not open. Many people want Black Friday to change. They think family is more important than money.
