READING:
Melania Trump gave a speech to support her husband Donald Trump. Some lines from the speech were from a speech made by Michelle Obama about Barack Obama. Mrs Trump spoke about how great she thought her husband was. Newspapers asked how Mrs Trump could make a plagiarised speech.
Plagiarism is copying other people's work and not saying you copied it. Schools give students an F-grade for copying or expel the students because it is stealing. An exam expert said: "Melania's speech [gives] us a [clear] example of plagiarism in action." Donald Trump said the speech was "good" because it got a lot of publicity.
