Imran Khan, Pakistan's new prime minister, has promised to change his country. Mr Khan gave a speech on Sunday one day after becoming Pakistan's new leader. He spoke about improving his country's international image by improving relations with Pakistan's neighbours India and Afghanistan. He will also work on repairing ties with the United States. Relations between Pakistan and the USA have worsened in the past few years because of terrorism. Khan also promised to create millions of jobs, reform health and education, and fight corruption.

Imran Khan, 65, is very popular and loved in Pakistan. He is one of Pakistan's greatest ever cricketers. He made his international debut aged 18 and captained Pakistan to his country's only Cricket World Cup victory. Khan retired from cricket in 1992. In 1996, he founded the Pakistan Movement for Justice party. He won a seat in Pakistan's National Assembly in October 2002. In the 2013 elections, his party won the second largest number of votes. Khan became a powerful politician and a possible future leader. His party won the largest number of seats in July's election.
