Paragraph 1

A study says people who abbreviate text
might seem insincere. They also might be
likely to receive replies. Researchers from the USA and Canada analyzed 5,000 text messages to look at the
 of abbreviations. Test
 rated their perceived
 of messages with and without
. They also assessed their
of replying. The researchers said: "Abbreviations make
seem less sincere and recipients less
to write back." They said abbreviations show a lower
 of effort from the sender.
