Microsoft's new games console, the Xbox One, sold more than one million machines on its first day of sale. It sold out in many countries. Microsoft says it is the best console it has ever made. It is happy thousands of fans got their Xbox One. The Xbox One team said it was "truly a special moment". Microsoft said it would work hard to make more Xbox One consoles. People want them for presents for this season's holiday.
Many Xbox One customers are disappointed. They get error messages when they switch the machine on. An update made the machine "brick" (become useless). Microsoft told users if a machine freezes for more than 10 minutes, they should contact customer support. Someone will help them. Microsoft's big rival Sony also has a new console - the PlayStation 4. It is $80 cheaper. Gamers are calling it a "pure gaming machine".
